EMSCULPT NEO®

EMSCULPT NEO® Body Contouring Treatment

It’s a common frustration. You work out, stay active, and eat a healthy diet—but you still can’t seem to achieve that toned, sculpted look you desire. For some people, genetics and/or a busy lifestyle make it especially difficult to get the firm, defined look they want. Fortunately, there is a solution: non-invasive EMSCULPT NEO body sculpting at the practice of board-certified plastic surgeons Dr. David Lickstein and Dr. Craig Forleiter in Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie, and Jupiter. With EMSCULPT NEO, it is possible for many patients to achieve enhanced muscle definition and firmer abs, buttocks, arms, calves, and thighs without the need for plastic surgery.

What is EMSCULPT?

EMSCULPT is a revolutionary device that helps burn fat while enhancing muscle definition at the same time. Using radio frequency (RF) combined with High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic energy (HIFEM®), the EMSCULPT NEO device raises muscle temperature and initiates thousands of powerful muscle contractions, far stronger than what it’s possible to achieve through traditional exercise. Raising the temperature of a muscle by several degrees prepares it for stress, somewhat like a warm-up before working out. This increased temperature also initiates apoptosis in subcutaneous fat, permanently damaging fat cells so that they can be expelled from the body.

In response to the rapid contractions initiated by HIFEM, the treated muscles are forced to adapt, remodeling their inner structure and resulting in enhanced muscle tone and sculpting. On average, our patients see a 30% reduction in body fat and a 25% increase in muscle mass in the treatment area.1

Dr. Lickstein and Dr. Forleiter employ two different sizes of FDA-cleared EMSCULPT NEO applicators: one that is large enough to target areas like the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs, and a smaller applicator perfect for stimulating muscles in smaller areas of the body such as the arms and calves.2

EMSCULPT After Weight Loss with GLP-1 Medications

For individuals who have experienced significant weight loss with GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic (semaglutide) or Mounjaro (tirzepatide), EMSCULPT NEO can be an excellent option to enhance and refine body contours. After weight loss, patients may find they need additional help to tone and strengthen muscles in areas like the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks. EMSCULPT NEO’s ability to simultaneously build muscle and reduce stubborn fat makes it an ideal solution for those looking to achieve a more sculpted, defined appearance post-weight loss.

EMSCULPT NEO Treatment: What to Expect

Preparing for Treatment

There is nothing you need to do to prepare for EMSCULPT NEO treatment. Simply come in to Drs. Lickstein and Forleiter’s practice in Palm Beach Gardens or Port. St Lucie for your treatments, which take roughly 30 minutes per session.

The EMSCULPT Treatment Experience

EMSCULPT NEO is a non-invasive treatment that raises muscle temperature and induces powerful muscle contractions to build muscle tone. No anesthesia or numbing is necessary, and patients are able to rest comfortably for the duration of their treatment.

To perform body contouring with EMSCULPT NEO, your skilled practitioner will attach EMSCULPT NEO panels to the area to be treated. These panels will gradually bring the muscles to a slightly higher temperature, then emit a series of High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic energy patterns that cause the muscles to powerfully and rapidly contract—up to 20,000 times per session.3 You won’t feel pain, but you will definitely feel warmth and the sensation that you are undergoing an intensive workout.

Each EMSCULPT NEO session takes about 30 minutes, and for optimal results patients are encouraged to undergo at least 4 treatment sessions, spaced 2-3 days apart. Dr. Lickstein, Dr. Forleiter, and our team will help you develop the most effective treatment plan to help you achieve your body contouring goals.

Recovery After EMSCULPT NEO

Unlike surgical body contouring procedures, there is no downtime associated with the EMSCULPT NEO recovery period. Immediately following treatment, you will be able to return to your normal daily activities. You may experience some soreness in the day or two following EMSCULPT NEO treatment, as if you had just undergone an intensive workout.

EMSCULPT NEO Results

EMSCULPT NEO results may begin to appear as soon as two weeks after treatment, but most patients really begin to see improved muscle tone and definition 4-6 weeks after treatment and final results are visible after 3 months. Just one month after treatment, participants in a recent clinical study showed an average of nearly 30.8% reduction in body fat in the area treated.4

Who is a Candidate for EMSCULPT NEO?

Most men and women who are interested in non-invasive body contouring can benefit from treatment with EMSCULPT NEO. Dr. Lickstein or Dr. Forleiter will evaluate your body composition and goals before performing this treatment to make sure it is the best option for you. In general, candidates for treatment with EMSCULPT NEO are:

  • In good overall health and in good physical shape
  • Interested in enhancing muscle tone and definition in the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, arms, or calves
  • Have lost weight through GLP-1 medications, such as Ozempic (semaglutide) or Mounjaro (tirzepatide) or lifestyle changes, and wish to further sculpt and tone their body
  • Not pregnant or nursing

EMSCULPT NEO is not a weight loss treatment; it is ideal for patients at a stable weight who wish to build muscle and increase muscle tone. People who have metal in their body may not be good candidates for EMSCULPT NEO.
